Gap, the American clothing giant is to partner with Dogami to create hoodie NFT wearables for dog Avatars. The collection will launch in July and the collaboration will include 12,000 NFT wearables.
It has also been announced that Gap has partnered with well-known contemporary artist and former soccer player Demit Omphroy on his first Tezos NFT collection.
Gap is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer. Gap has over 100,000 employees and nearly 3000 company-operated stores worldwide.
They operate under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, and Intermix brand names and have a presence in over 40 countries worldwide.
Now, Gap has announced it is creating Dogami hoodie NFT wearables for dog avatars, which will represent Dogami’s first fashion collaboration in the Petaverse.
The NFT hoodies will have utility as they will allow players to enhance the individual style of their NFT dogs and this will have a direct impact on the in-game states.
On the partnership, Kristofer Dayne Penseyres · Co-Founder & Chief Brand Officer at Dogami stated in the L’Officiel Magazine:

The Dogamí x Gap partnership will launch in July 2022 with 12,000 NFT wearables specially designed for Dogamí Avatars. The Gap accessories will have a direct impact on your game stats, which is usually only possible by earning rewards.

Dogami wearables will class as a type of accessory within the game.

Wearables will allow you to personalize your Dogamí, increase its Rarity, influence its Stats and most importantly, stand out in the Petaverse.
Every article will be associated with a physical slot on the dog. Only one item can be worn for every physical slot. The exact number and list of slots will be released soon.
Wearables will have the following parameters:
Class: Determines the item’s class. We distinguish 4 classes of wearables: Common, Rare, Epic & Legendary
Slot: The body section associated with the wearable. e.g: glasses will be associated with the “eye” slot
Effect: A wearable may or may not have an effect on the dog’s Stats. The entire list of wearables and their effect will be released soon.
Price: Fixed in $DOGA
In the announcement Gap also stated it was partnering with well-known contemporary artist and former soccer player Demit Omphroy on his first Tezos NFT collection.
In spring, Demit launched a limited-edition graphic tee collection which is available to purchase in stores online, now he has taken the collaboration one step further with the launch of Gap NFTs.

On the collection more details were announced:
On June 7 at 9am PT / 12pm ET, the experience will kick off with three gamified level drops: Common, Rare and Epic.
Common will be on sale for a limited time for 2 tez (XTZ).
Rare will be on sale starting June 9 for 8 tez (XTZ) and Epic on June 14 for 50 tez (XTZ).
The digital collectibles will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on gap.com/nft. Rare and Epic levels will be available in more limited editions. The entire collection supports payments in both fiat and tez.
On June 15, the One of a Kind digital auction will begin, featuring single edition digital art and a custom, hand-painted Gap denim jacket by Demit.
