According to the show’s website, the scavenger hunt was created in partnership with Web3 studio Feature and includes nine pieces of QR-Coded digital artwork in various mediums, including billboards, videos, and episodes of the sci-fi series.
A non-fungible token, or NFT, is a digital asset that represents ownership of a unique item, such as a piece of artwork, a collectible, or a membership.
The “Love, Death + Robots” NFTs are minted on the Ethereum blockchain. The starting price of each NFT on OpenSea is 0.003 ETH, currently about $6.
The “Love, Death + Robots” NFTs are just Netflix’s latest dip into crypto. Last month, the streaming company released “Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King,” a documentary examining the mystery surrounding the death of Gerald Cotten, the CEO of crypto exchange QuadrigaCX.
